In 2015, Wemeco Products B.V. delivered six wemDeck® recessed concrete embedded hatches with load class F900, in accordance with EN-124, to the Kotterkade in IJmuiden. These hatches are equipped with power supplies for ships, which are mounted underneath the hatches. This way, ships can easily be provided with electricity. Despite the fact that these hatches are extremely heavy, they can easily be opened using gas springs. This hatch is also available with load class A15, B125, C250, D400, and E600. Salland-Twentetunnel
In 2013, Wemeco Products B.V. delivered two hatches to the eastern and western buildings of the Salland-Twentetunnel. This combined railway-freeway tunnel has a length of 500 meters, and is located in the city centre of Nijverdal. To provide access to the cables and power supplies that are underneath the buildings, wemDeck recessed concrete embedded hatches with load class A15 are used. This is the lowest possible load class according to EN-124, which means that these hatches are meant to solely walk on. The hatches consist of two covers each, both equipped with a safety grid of the type GA. This way, a safe access to the underlying supplies is guaranteed. More information about wemDeck® recessed concrete embedded hatches can be found here.

The city of Breda
The city of Breda is one of the cities in the Netherlands that embraced wemDeck® hatches to be their standard when it comes to safely covering and closing manholes and other access applications in the road surface. Dozens of wemDeck® recessed concrete embedded D400 hatches are spread over the city area. These hatches have a load class of D400 according to the EN-124, which means that it is safe to drive over. Sewage pumping station de Rompert
In 2011, a few wemDeck® recessed concrete embedded hatches were placed at the sewage pumping station “de Rompert”, located next to shopping center de Rompert in Bois-le-Duc. This is quite the unique situation, for there are 5 hatches processed into one concrete deck. These hatches have a load class of D400 in accordance with EN 124, which means they can be driven over by heavy traffic. This means that the pumping station can also easily be accessed by trucks and other heavy machinery. This type of hatch is also available in the load classes A15, B125, C250, E600 and F900. More information about wemDeck® recessed concrete embedded hatches can be found here.
Extinguishing supply Gouda

In 2012, a extinguishing supply was realised in Gouda. Part of this extinguishing supply are two wemDeck® AV raised hatches. These AV (Anti-Vandalism) hatches are designed in such a way that the hinges, the padlock ring, and the hatch anchor are all located on the inside of the cover. This provides for the most secure and sustainable option for both the user and its surroundings.
The upper picture shows a single-cover hatch, provided with ladder and entrance aid, and a GA safety grid. The bottom picture shows a raised hatch consisting of four covers, with removable dividers. This way, even an hole with as large dimensions as this one can be covered safely.
AV is the standard at wemDeck® when it comes to raised hatches, but the hatches are also available in the versions AI and AO. For more information about raised hatches, please visit this page.
